The office of the Association "Club-Journalists Against Corruption" was officially opened
Association "Club-Journalists Against Corruption" was officially opened on June 10th. The association's office is situated on 12, "Vitosha" street, floor 6. The office furniture of the reception hall is financed under Project "Civil Society Development" of the European Commission Phare Programme. The official opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Member of the Commission for Coordination of activities for fight against corruption at the Council of Ministers, Mr. Boiko Kotsev, the Members of Parliament of the 39th National Assembly Mrs. Rumiana Georgieva, Deputy Chairman Mr. Vladimir Donchev, the Chairman of the Association of Prosecutors in Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Dimov, the Chairman of the Union of Judges in Bulgaria, Mrs. Neli Kutskova, the Chairman of the Notary Chamber, Mrs. Elena Elenkova.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Kenet Stewart, Head of the project "Reform of the Judicial System" at the United State Agency for International Development, Mrs. Angeliki Votsoglu, Head of project "Civil Society" and "Reaction against corruption" at the Delegation of the European Commission, His Excellency Mr. Fam Kuok Bao, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Tobias Gerhardus Wiser, Ambassador and Acting Head of the Embassy of Republic of South Africa, Mrs. Adjunk Hidaiah Sabit, Minister-Counselor (Cultural Affairs) at the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Subai Sharik, Chairman of the association of the Arabic Intellectuals and Friends, Mr. Dris Alaui, First Secretary of the Embassy of Morocco, Mr. Do Hai Dang, First Secretary at the Embassy of Vietnam, Mr. Lotar Yashke, Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Austria and Chairman from United States of America and Egypt.
Mr. Boiko Kotsev, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded Mrs. Reneta Nikolova, Chairman of the Club with a Diploma on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Georgi Petkanov. Тhe Diploma was awarded to Mrs. Reneta Nikolova for her contribution in covering the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in regards to the future accession of Bulgaria to the European Union. Mrs. Angeliki Votsoglu stated that the fight against the corruption remains a priority area for the European Commission. She underlined that media monitoring on the activities of the administrative authorities is very important for the efficient prevention against the corrupted practices. The Club has been working for similar project since the beginning of the year with the local regional administrative authorities in Vidin and Montana.
